We were really pleased with the way Becky interpreted our ‘gothic fairytale’ brief, creating a sophisticated, darkly romantic atmosphere that complimented our banquet table layout and even incorporating personal details such as our own books into the centerpieces.

Our first meeting we discussed our witchy woodland theme, and I loved the fact she was equally excited about our day as we were. She came up with some wonderful ideas and had the same view as we did. She saw our day as a classically beautiful, dark, romantic wedding, not a tacky Halloween wedding. She then sent us some stunning moodboards of centerpiece ideas. The colors and flowers were so unusual and perfect for our day.
Becky is so easy to work with. If I wanted anything changed, she was so lovely, patient, and accommodating—nothing was too much trouble. Even down to styling around important objects in our house that we wanted included in our day. I really appreciated she would send us sneak peeks of our flowers in the run-up to the day. It was all so exciting! I trusted her completely to create our tablescapes and was not disappointed when I arrived on the day. Everything looked perfect down to the smallest little detail!
It was definitely a day I will treasure for the rest of my life, and the beauty of the styling will always be a part of those memories.

“As soon as we found our venue, the Samuel Worth Chapel at Sheffield General Cemetery, we knew we’d need to find the right people to work with to turn our dreams into reality.
We found Foxglove & Black on Instagram while searching for alternative wedding ideas. There’s a million and one wedding planners/stylists out there, but we wanted ‘different.’ It became obvious fairly early on in the process that we’d found the right person. From the first messages to Becky to find out more, right up until the ‘morning after,’ everything was a smooth process.
Becky engaged with our ideas from the off, and after we subjected her to an hour-long video call babbling about coffins and bats, she quickly came up with a plan. The mood board that was sent through had captured everything perfectly, and somehow had made sense of all our wittering. Over the months leading up to the wedding, Becky made regular contact, checking everything was okay, suggesting things we hadn’t even thought of, and making any necessary tweaks to perfect the package.
On the day, Becky arrived with a carload of decorations, props, and flowers, and made light work of transforming the already beautiful chapel into a perfect Victorian Goth backdrop for our celebrations (complete with coffins and bats, of course). Becky also kept in regular contact with the venue and the cake supplier, making sure everything tied in and there’d be no hiccups on the day. Truly above and beyond.
Everybody that attended commented on how fabulous both the venue and how it was styled—it was just perfect and very ‘us.’ We would certainly recommend her to anyone wanting something away from the ‘norm.’
